Conventions are the features/elements/production techniques that make up a media product. they are familiar and expected. the two types of research are primary (first hand/done your self) and secondary (second hand/data made by someone else) PSB stands for public service broadcasting and is not for profit, content has to cater for a variety of audiences. they have to inform, educate and entertain the viewers. they are payed for by the public through TV licence fees A commercial company intend to make profit (money). They do this through advertising and sponsorship. this means that it is not payed for bu the public.
